Milo's Tour of Texas! Yeehaw!

Shortly after Christmas we decided that it was time to take Milo to show him his roots and meet his family and friends in Texas. We'd taken him to Tampa in early December, and he did so great we figured a trip to Texas would be a breeze. His pediatrician said that this age was actually perfect for him to fly, since he'd likely sleep through much of the travel - which he did!)

A few pics from the Tampa trip:

In Clearwater with Aunt Cindi and Savanah. I do miss these FL "winters!"
Going for a stroll on Granny's Rascal!
Milo's first flight.

We decided that Milo and I would go during the weekend, stay through the week, and then Marc would join us the following weekend, and we'd all fly home together. Oh, and I'd also be working Tuesday through Friday. Here's our itinerary, which sounded just dandy on paper:

Saturday: Jaime & Milo fly to Dallas to visit with the "Sweeny Girls" in Dallas
Monday: Jaime & Milo drive to Houston to see Jaime's fam
Thursday: Jaime & Milo drive back to Dallas to see Marc's fam & friends
Friday: Marc joins Jaime & Marc in Dallas
Sunday: Jaime, Milo & Marc fly back to Asheville

Friends, that's a lot of travel. 'Specially for a 3 month old!

Milo's such a good baby - he handled [most of] it very well. He fussed a bit during the SEVEN HOUR drive to Houston, but hey, I was on the verge of tears myself. Traffic in N. Houston was t.e.r.r.i.b.l.e. I sent my Mom a text while stopped on Beltway 8 that simply said "I hope you have wine."

By the time it was said and done, Milo slept in four different places in four nights. Poor guy was a little discombobulated.

It was so worth it. Got to see my besties (and some of their babies!).

Got to hang out with my fam.

Mom and Andi entertaining Milo.

Just hanging out with my cousins!
Laura & Peggy took us out to lunch!
Got to see Marc's fam and HS friends (and some of their babies too!).

Newman Smith grads and lots of babies! Nice pants, Chris.
Grandma Jan has the coolest toys!
Chris gave me a sweet A&M beanie!
Bryan hanging with the ladies!
Conversations on the floor. Babies everywhere!
Barbara lovin' on Milo!

In total, Milo & I were gone for eight days, and we were ready to come home. (Did you catch this FB status from Marc? All together now.... awwwww.)

Our next trip will likely be to Norfolk to visit Auntie 'Cole, Uncle Gregg and Cousin Molly, that's if we don't head to Atlanta to see Tex, Chrissy, Grace and baby Tommy, or Charlotte to say hey to Justin, Kortney, Kash & Kohen sooner!

True to his rockstar status, we're making sure his fans all get a taste of our lil dude!

Til next time!

Jaime, Marc & Milo
